Six SketchUp-style tools, native to Cinema 4D: Pen, Rectangle, Push, Rotate, Offset, and Measure. Draw a shape, push it into a solid, then offset, rotate and measure it, all with the same click-click flow you already think in.

Everything happens right in the viewport. No menus, no modifiers, no Booleans to clean up. Type exact dimensions with units, lock to an axis on the fly, and snap to anything already in your scene.

Watch Nordmesh in action

The fastest way to understand what these six tools actually feel like.

In this 3-minute video you see how easy and intuitive the tools really are. Draw a shape, push it into a solid, then offset, rotate and measure it, all right in the viewport. No menus, no modifiers, no Booleans to clean up afterward. By the end you'll know exactly how Nordmesh fits into the way you model.

The toolkit

Six tools, one sketching flow.

Scroll through each one to watch it work.

Nordmesh Pen tool 01  /  Draw

Click. Click. It's a face.

A click‑click polyline that closes into a filled N‑gon and knifes straight into the face you drew on. Lengths, axis locks and unit-aware numeric input come standard.
Nordmesh Pen tool Nordmesh Pen
Nordmesh Rectangle tool 02  /  Draw

Snaps to the face you mean.

Two clicks for an axis-aligned rectangle. The first click picks the face under your cursor and auto-locks to its plane, or type W;D for an exact size.
Nordmesh Rectangle tool Nordmesh Rectangle
Nordmesh Push tool 03  /  Shape

Push the face. Watch it solidify.

Click a face and slide it to extrude into a watertight solid, pop a panel off a flat surface, or resize a protrusion. It snaps to anything in the scene so faces line up with remote corners.
Nordmesh Push tool Nordmesh Push
Nordmesh Rotate tool 04  /  Shape

A protractor for your whole model.

Set a pivot, then turn. A live protractor with 15° ticks tracks the mouse and the real geometry rotates with it, no ghost preview. Type an exact angle and hit Enter.
Nordmesh Rotate tool Nordmesh Rotate
Nordmesh Offset tool 05  /  Shape

Inset and outset, the right way.

Click a face, drag in for an inset or out for an outset. The math handles convex and reflex corners, and clamps the inset before any edge can cross itself.
Nordmesh Offset tool Nordmesh Offset
Nordmesh Measure tool 06  /  Measure

A tape measure that leaves snap points.

Two clicks drop a labelled guide line. Native vertex snap targets its endpoints, so every other tool, whether Nordmesh or stock Cinema 4D, can snap to it for free.
Nordmesh Measure tool Nordmesh Measure
What it does

The SketchUp flow, with Cinema 4D precision underneath.

01 / Input

Type real dimensions

Lengths take units and even imperial compounds like 3'6". Rectangle takes W;D, Rotate takes an exact angle, Push takes an exact distance. Hit Enter and it lands precisely.

02 / Control

Lock to an axis on the fly

Tap X, Y or Z mid-draw to constrain to a world axis or plane. Coloured guide lines show the lock, so a wall stays a wall and a floor stays flat.

03 / Snapping

Snaps to your whole scene

Native Cinema 4D vertex, edge and midpoint snapping is built in. Push even infers a coplanar match with a remote corner, so faces line up without measuring.

04 / Anchors

Measurements that stick

Measure drops a labelled guide line whose endpoints become live snap targets. Any tool, Nordmesh or stock C4D, can lock onto them afterward.

05 / Feel

Real geometry, in real time

No ghost previews. Rotate turns the actual mesh as you move, and every commit is one clean undo step. Esc rolls back with nothing left behind.

06 / Output

Clean N-gons, no Booleans

Pen and Rectangle knife straight into the face you draw on as one N-gon. Push seals open edges into watertight solids. Nothing to flatten, nothing to repair.

Frequently asked

Questions, answered.

Is Nordmesh really like SketchUp?

The interaction model is: pure click-move-click, no drag loops, numeric input with units, axis locks, and inference snapping. It just runs natively inside Cinema 4D on your real geometry.

Which Cinema 4D versions are supported?

Cinema 4D 2025 and 2026, on macOS and Windows. Each release ships as a single plugin with all six tools.

Do the tools work on existing meshes?

Yes. Pen and Rectangle knife into the face you click; Push, Offset and Rotate act on geometry that is already there. Measure leaves snap anchors anything can use.

Can I type exact dimensions?

Everywhere it makes sense. Lengths accept units and imperial compounds (3'6"), Rectangle takes W;D, Rotate takes an exact angle, Push takes an exact distance.

How does the license system work?

You get a license you install on any workstation, and you can revoke it and move it to another whenever you need. The license never expires. For one year you also get every update for free; after that, a small upgrade fee gets you the latest release.

Is there a license key?

Yes. Your key appears in your account the moment you buy. Drop the plugin into your Maxon plugin directory, restart Cinema 4D, launch any Nordmesh tool, and paste the key once to activate that machine. Need to switch computers? Release the seat from your account and reactivate elsewhere.
